Carbon steel pipe can be divided into seamless steel pipe, straight seam steel pipe, spiral steel pipe, high frequency welded steel pipe and so on. The raw material for rolling seamless carbon steel pipe is round billet. The pipe embryo is cut by cutting machine and the billet with a growth of about 1 meter is sent to the furnace for heating by conveyor belt. The billet is heated into a furnace and the temperature is about 1200 degrees Celsius. The fuel is hydrogen or acetylene.
The temperature control in the furnace is a key problem. The round billet is perforated by pressure piercer after the furnace is put out. The common piercer is conical roller piercer. This kind of piercer has high production efficiency, good product quality, large piercing enlargement and can pierce many kinds of steel. After piercing, the round billet is successively rolled, rolled or extruded by three rolls. After extrusion, the diameter must be removed. The sizing machine punched through the tapered bit into the steel embryo to form a carbon steel pipe. The inner diameter of the carbon steel pipe is determined by the length of the diameter of the drill bit. After sizing, the carbon steel pipe enters the cooling tower and is cooled by spraying water. After cooling, the carbon steel pipe will be straightened.
After being straightened, the carbon steel pipe is sent to the metal flaw detector (or water pressure test) through the conveyor belt for internal detection. If there are cracks inside the carbon steel pipe, bubbles and other problems will be detected. After the quality inspection, the carbon steel pipe should be selected by strict manual selection. After the quality inspection of the steel pipe, paint numbers, specifications, production batch numbers and so on.
