There are two roll and three roll systems in the cross rolling mill. Although the structure of the pipe mill is different, the shape of the roll and the position of the roll in the space are different, but in the deformation zone composed of the roll and the pipe, the geometric relationship between the adjustment parameters and the rolling process are basically the same.

　　Study on force and energy parameters of cross rolling

　　As early as the 1980s, a series of researches on the theory of cross rolling have been carried out in China, such as the research on the metal deformation law, stress distribution, rolling force and rolling torque in the deformation zone; The mechanism of cavity formation is studied; The macro deformation of the metal, the force of the guide plate on the rolled piece and the uneven distribution of the deformation and stress along the radial direction of the rolled piece during the cross rolling of perforated tube billet with single active guide plate are studied; In this paper, the deformation zone and deformation characteristics of three roll combined piercer are studied by using three-dimensional steel plastic finite element method; Three dimensional steel plastic finite element method was used to simulate the piercing process of cross rolling; Based on the concept of surplus deformation and the method of calculating surplus deformation, the cross rolling extension process of tapered roller is studied.
